From Sarajevo to Pisa: IUS Shares Ai4CUAV NATO SPS Project Results and Joins Consortium Review
The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) hosted an Ai4CUAV dissemination event on 22 September 2026, giving project partners, experts, academics, and students an opportunity to see and discuss the project’s integrated system. Two days later, the IUS team joined the consortium in Pisa, Italy, for a technical review of the system and the project’s results.
At IUS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Büyükdağlı presented the project’s objectives, partners, and research activities. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Almisreb then demonstrated Ai4CUAV Studio, the platform that brings together components developed across the consortium for drone detection, classification, tracking, and sensor processing. Participants discussed the demonstration and offered feedback on the system’s capabilities and potential applications.
The focus then shifted from sharing the results with a wider audience to reviewing them with the project partners. At the Final Project Meeting on 25 September, hosted by the CNIT-RaSS Laboratory in Pisa, the consortium carried out a joint demonstration of the integrated system, assessed its functionality and performance, and discussed the achievements, deliverables, and activities still to be completed.
The two meetings marked successive steps in Ai4CUAV’s final stage: the Sarajevo event opened the work to discussion with experts and the academic community, while the Pisa meeting allowed the consortium to examine the integrated results together and coordinate its next steps.
